Visual Attention To Color Vital Essay

The stream can also capture automatic attention. The sensation and perception of an individual can hence be automatic without requiring the control of person. Therefore it is possible that some people are more sensing and perceiving if they have more active M. stream cells. The p stream is color sensitive and supports accurate motion detection of an object or the stimuli. The combned role of both reduce the time taken for motion detection and accurate and quick identification of the object that is shown 6. Design an experiment to test whether the parvocellular stream is sensitive to motion processing

1) What methods would you use?

The experiment to test the parvocellular stream or P. stream will have twenty participants that will be observed for response to color vision. They will have normal visual acuity and color vision as assessed. Stimuli will be generated by Mat lab software with Psych Toolbox routines to give stimuli to a Sony Trinitron E220 cathode ray tube monitor. The environment of the experiment will be dark and the participants will be half a meter apart from monitor. A cube with 64 squares in color cab be shown moving, as a stimuli, to find participant responses.

2) What do you expect to find?

Since parvocellular neurons color sensitive and can find details of object, I expect that the participants...

The motion detection is expected to be quicker in presence of colors. The time taken to judge the location of the unchanging squares tells the role of motion and color I sense and perception. It is expected that the response time and the accuracy to detect object for the purpose of localization will be accurate and small. The results are expected to be aligned with asynchronous isoluminant color changes.
3) What would be the implications of your findings?

The visual change detection found in the experiment can tell how change blindness takes place in motion detection. The motion detection is supported by color vision feature of P. stream. The findings will imply that the change detection can be regained if the colors and light is induced in experiment. The results imply that color changes can be synchronized to introduce change in regular color across the stimulus. Each of these aspects can be used to constrain theories of the underlying mechanisms. The results would also imply that there should be not associated psychological diseases associated with detection of color and motion.
